So, for a much healthier diet – go green! Look out that wonderful window you’ve got opening to the beautiful greenery and all those amazing natural herbs. Feels beautiful, doesn’t it? Well, vegetables taste delicious too, and I guarantee that! Most of you won’t really want to try plain veggies, but the effort is worth it for a quick snack to serve your tummies the right way.
Instead of ordering a pizza, a hamburger or the oleaginous potato chips, why not eat something organic and totally healthy? And the recipes that I’m about to share – you’re sure as shooting gonna love me for sharing them!
The recipe: Take a large bowl, slice the carrot and chop it down to fine little pieces (don’t forget to peel it, just saying.). Next, pour in the green peas along with the washed corn beans. Slice the cucumber (again, do peel it please), and take off the little wimpy seedlings. Mash the leftover and pour it in the mixture bowl. Give the three ingredients a nice stir until the cucumber sticks with every bean in the bowl!
Bring in the spices now. Sprinkle a little salt and some black pepper. Take a spoonful of sugar (a tea spoon, that is) along with some red chili powder, put it in a cup, add in some water (some drops of it) and mix it till the sugar-chili powder combo completely saturates.
Pour in the spiced up sugary water and toss everything up and down. Ah, the fruits – what a blessing they are! If you love yourself those little juicy berries, feel free to spruce them in there. Lastly, the mayonnaise to give The Corn Magic just the right amount of everything – just add 4 table spoons of it directly into the bowl and mix everything one last time. Put some green salad leaves on top and voila – bon appétit!
Oh, and don’t waste the cucumber’s peeling: chop it down and sprinkle on top. It looks very good and doesn’t affect the taste either.
The recipe: For Vegetable Truffle, you need some potatoes, salt, black pepper, some salad (you know, the usual…cucumber, some carrots and small fine pieces of onion), a soft, freshly baked bun and some green leaves off a cabbage.
Right, let’s get started – you might want to get done with the potatoes first. Peel them, wash them, boil them and mash them with a spoon (Yes, a spoon. That’s how real men cook, ladies!). Then put in some salt and black pepper while mixing it to spread it evenly. Next, take the salad mash them with the spoon or with a blender (Uh, ladies, you were right – spoons are outdated.). Put the mashed solution in the potatoes. Right, give it a nice mix. The solution you get: make a ball of it, big enough to be spread onto the bun.
Take the bun, warm it off a pan put the potato-salad mixture in it, press it from above and Bob’s your uncle! For the truffle, cut the bun in small pastry-like squares and voila! Bon appétit. Use the mayonnaise and the cabbage for dressing. Put it in the bun, decorate the plate: your choice.
You can make them both, or try any one of them at a time, depending on how hungry you are! Happy eating, happy cooking. To all the men, get in the kitchen and help yourselves. You’d never have to ask the ladies to help you again!
